About Nate Depoint

Nathan is originally from Rochester , New York , but now calls Fort Worth home. As a member of the Fort Worth Opera Studio in 2007, Nathan covered the role of Sharpless for the mainstage production of Madama Butterfly, study-covered the role of Ford for the production of Verdicccs Falstaff and premiered the role of Jos in the well received World Premiere of Frau Margot by Thomas Passatieri. Mr. DePoint's other credits include Il Conte Almaviva in Le Nozze di Figaro and Sharpless this past summer at Opera in the Ozarks, the title character Figaro in Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro, Guglielmo in Cosí fan tutte, and Lindorf, Coppelius, Dapertutto, and Dr. Miracle (the four villans) in Offenbachcccs The Tales of Hoffmann. He has participated in the Canta in Italia and Opera in the Ozarks training programs and was a finalist in the National Association of Teachers' of Singing (NATS) competition. He holds a Master of Music Degree in Opera Performance from Wichita State University and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Voice from John Brown University.
